What is a Musculoskeletal Screening?
A musculoskeletal screening involves examining the body, posture and looking for any pre-existing injuries to muscles, tendons and joints within the body. It is used to help determine the general health and function of the body and is a pre-requisite for anyone wanting to attend our pilates classes.
Prevention is always better than the cure!
A comprehensive analysis of the following:
- Strength
- Flexibility
- Posture
- Body type
- Occupational stressors
- Environmental stressors
- Prior history
This information is used to determine:
- Starting point for an exercise program
- Likelihood for any injury
