Doctor uses needles for treatment of the patient

What is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is a modern treatment designed to ease muscular pain. It is used to directly target the cause of certain pains and strains within the muscles of the body. Fine needles are inserted into the pressure/trigger points of the muscles to help release the tension and reduce pain. It can be used during physiotherapy treatment to compliment the stages of rehabilitation. Dry needling differs from acupuncture as traditionally acupuncture is used to align a person’s energy, or chi.
